Palgrave Brown (Holdings) Limited

In October 2002 Aberdeen invested in the secondary buy-out of Palgrave Brown (Holdings) Limited. The transaction, valued at £30.6 million, represented a unique situation where one set of Aberdeen clients’ funds purchased the business from another set of client funds, who backed the original BIMBO of the business four years earlier.

Palgrave Brown is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of roof trusses, timber windows, MDF mouldings and other high performance joinery products. Its products are sold through a national network of seventeen sites, mainly to national house-builders, builders’ merchants and housing associations.
